Crested Bunny Ear Cactus – Opuntia microdasys cristata

The Crested Bunny Ear Cactus is a unique form of Opuntia microdasys, loved for its unusual wavy, fan-like growth pattern and golden-yellow areoles. Unlike the regular flat-padded Bunny Ear Cactus, this crested variety develops curled, folded, and sculptural pads that make every plant visually distinct.

Its compact size, drought tolerance, and striking texture make it ideal for collectors, modern plant styling, desert-themed arrangements, and low-maintenance plant lovers. The plant does not have large visible spines, but its tiny yellow glochids can irritate the skin, so it should be handled carefully with gloves.
